How to choose a barbell color

In order to train safely and comfortably, it is important to choose a barbell collar that suits your purpose and training content.
Additionally, the sleeves of high-quality barbells have a surface treatment that prevents rust and allows the plates to slide easily, so the use of barbell collars is essential.
There are several types of barbell collars, including competition collars, quick release collars, and spring collars.
We will explain the advantages and disadvantages of each.

[About plastic quick release collars]
At MBC Gym, we test out barbell collars from various manufacturers, but we do not sell cheap Chinese-made plastic quick-release collars because we feel that most of them have a fatal flaw in that they have weak retention and are dangerous when used with heavy weights. As such, we do not sell these collars at our store, which specializes in competitive free weights.
All of the barbell collars we carry have strong holding power and can be used safely for training with heavy weights such as the BIG3 and drops.
